Sinicuichi (Heimia salicifolia) is a flowering shrub from Mexico which may have been employed by the Aztecs during trance rituals. Native from Mexico to Argentina. Sinicuichi has been called an "auditory hallucinogen": sounds seem to come distorted from a great distance.

It is still used by some Mexican shamans as a tool for divination. The natives hold Sinicuichi to be sacred and believe it to be endowed with supernatural powers. It would help them with a wide variety of problems and they use it to recall vividly the events of many years earlier. Sinicuichi extract has been tested and is believed to have euphoric, overall relaxing and pleasantly drowsy effects. The shamans would report feelings of euforia, general relaxation, acoustic hallucinations, improvement of memory performance and pleasant drowsiness effects.

Traditionally the Sinicuichi Extract or leaves are used to prepare a tea.
