Salvia Divinorum (Ska Maria Pastora) is a plant of which the psychedelic properties were first discovered by the Mazatec Indians from Mexico. They would experience a very giggly, visual and mind blowing trip that lasted up to 15 miniutes. A number of themes are frequently experienced with salvinorin-A: Becoming objects. Visions of various two-dimensionel surfaces, films and membranes. Revisiting places from the past, especially childhood. Loss of body and/or identity. Various sensations of motion, or being pulled or twisted by forces of some kind.

The Mazatec indians used two methods of consuming salvia: chewing the leaves for a long time and then swallowing down the leaves, or dissolving the leaves partially in water and then drinking it. Both methods were not very tasteful and required a large amount of leaves. The leaves were also smoked.
